Like Giambattista Nolli, the Nolli metropolitan project was t invent representation rules in plan that could differentiat private areas from public areas.
With black and white lines as the unique tool, the void represents public spaces and the full private spaces.
The juxtaposition of these two elements makes it possible to symbolize semi-private
spaces.
As a result, we designed a town consisting of 20 blocks, 4 of which belong to existing cities (New York, Tokyo, Barcelona and Paris)
served by two air metro lines implementing the codes established.
Each block was designed by a group of students taking into account the surrounding elements to initiate connections within the
city. My aim was to create a representation methodology so that all buildings and spaces could clearly read, despite the
various forms.
