To obtain my HMONP (admission to the order of architects of France), Ipresented a thesis whose theme was :
The integration of others in architectural design.
Due to the lack of human issues during my professional experiences, a kind of dissatisfaction was growing in me over the months following my graduation as a state architect.
Why design an architecture without taking into account the people who will inhabit the spaces ?
Is there no long-term consequences by building an object that can exist independently of its site ?
Is it really easier to shape without the intervention of the users, concerned once the building is erected ?
The intervention of the inhabitants, of the users could provide us, a completely distinct perception of a factor that we don't completely understand. This theme refers to a variety of topics : scale and actors within the design, how to gather opinions, time and constraints related to building methods, project methods and their phases.
In this thesis I introduce the concept of urban design and its connection with the inhabitants, I approach the various frameworks of architectural design, then compare these frameworks and; then finalize my essay with the evolution of the profession of architect and the increasing demand to include others in the drawing.
The aim o this degree is to test the architect's perception of architecture, demonstrate his ability to erect an idea.
The future graduates (HMONP) need to develop the subject, question it and connect it with the architectural approach they would like to apply in the exercise of they future studio.
My signature and my subject only confirmed my desire to reintegrate users in the process of the architectural development and therefore, of the city. In other words, putting knowledge, culture and exchanges at the centre of established decisions : making the creation process a field of experimentation for everyone.
