The objective of the project was to build two
detached houses on a plot of 256 m².
How can two families live on the same plot, sharing a daily life while having their privacy ?
Confronting a vertical and a horizontal house allows spatial qualities specific to each one, thus creating different ways of living in each atmosphere.
Settled on the design of Souto de Moura,
Sete cidades, a city located on a Portuguese island (Açores), whose project was (at the
time) incomplete.
Taking into account the elements of the site and the surrounding constructions, it was necessary to be able to offer qualities to each dwelling while allowing each family to have their own entrance.
